DIGMIA was founded in the year 2006 by two experts in computer security and information technologies. One of them, Juraj Bednár, worked for more than six years as an independent consultant in computer security and operating systems based on Linux and Unix. There have been plenty of positive references from agencies and companies of private and public sector (e.g. the Ministry of Interior of Slovak Republic) that have honored Mr. Bednar.

The other founder of DIGMIA is Vladislav Konečný. He is an experienced professional who has worked for last seven years at consulting and managing positions. Mr. Konecny spent last three years working at the Nextra Company (currently, GTS) as a project manager for important customers, such as Skanska, Porsche Interauto, Czechoslovak Trade Bank – Department of Leasing, Oracle Slovakia, Slovak Bank SLSP and Samsung Electronics.
